Extending Riser Pipe on Rainforest Mixer Showers

Hi all, First time on here and hoping for lots of helpful advice... my daughter and son in law have just moved into a new house and are now the proud owners of two showers with rainforest heads. Unfortunately son in law is 6' 7" and can't fit under the shower heads! Is there a simple way of extending the riser pipes on the showers to raise the rainforest head above son in law's head?
