Upgrade Gravity Fed Thermostatic Bar Shower Valve

HI all,
I have moved into a house with a gravity-fed thermostatic bar shower valve which is barely a trickle and desperate for a pump. There is a dedicated 22mm feed from the cold water tank and a shared 22mm feed from the hot water cylinder in the roof, so I will fit an ******* flange to feed the pump.
However, the last 1.5 metres of pipe, hot and cold, have been reduced to 15mm.
I am concerned that this will reduce the benefit of the pump - can I replace the connections in the back of the shower valve with 22mm or will I need a new shower valve?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
