Upgrade Gravity Fed Thermostatic Bar Shower Valve

HI all,

I have moved into a house with a gravity-fed thermostatic bar shower valve which is barely a trickle and desperate for a pump. There is a dedicated 22mm feed from the cold water tank and a shared 22mm feed from the hot water cylinder in the roof, so I will fit an ******* flange to feed the pump.

However, the last 1.5 metres of pipe, hot and cold, have been reduced to 15mm.

I am concerned that this will reduce the benefit of the pump - can I replace the connections in the back of the shower valve with 22mm or will I need a new shower valve?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Th shower should run just fine with 15m piping. Sounds like the problem is elsewhere.

Thanks, Tall Bloke, pump now installed and it's all good even with the 15mm connections. Don't know why the pump manufactures say it must be 22mm all the way if it reduces to 15mm when it reaches the shower valve anyway, but hey ho, it works way better than it did.
