Replacing Odd Drain Cock in Victorian Property

I found my drain cock is blocked. If I open it fully, then are only few drops at time flushing out.
This is in an old victorian house and I don't know how old this drain cock is.
It is written "1/2" on the drain cock so I bought a new 1/2 rather than 15 mm drain cock as I plan to replace it.
Still, my new drain cock appears to be a bit smaller than the existing one.
I' m worried the new drain cock won't fit and I won't be able to put back the old one. I can tell it is not as long at least.
Has anyone seen this old drain cock on the picture?
Do you think the new drain cock will fit?
