Shower Screen Seal Issue in new Bathroom

by djh82uk » Sun Mar 31, 2019 3:44 pm

Hey guys, we had a new bathroom fitted recently.

We have a new shower tray and glass screen. The seal between the screen and the metal guide has expanded (whether by heat/steam or moisture I don't know). However it is now too long and too thick to fit back in and im worried that the glass is now less secure.

I cannot find a replacement seal anywhere, how would you advise I proceed? I did consider filling the void with clear silicon but worry that it may weaken the glass fitment.

I have attached some pictures. Basically I can squeeze the seal back in with a lot of force, but as soon as someone has a shower it just pops back out.

Also I can't get it all to go back in as it just pops out further up/down.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks
