Shower Problems Gainsborough 10.5se

Sudden issue with our shower. Went to use it at it's normal temperature but the flow was very reduced. We turned the temperature down but it didn't increase the flow. The water that was coming out was scalding hot and the shower engine sounded loud. We have since checked for blockages in the shower head and hose. No blockage. We removed these and the water flow is still reduced and scalding. Electric to shower turned off and casing removed to have a look inside. No blockage in the pipe where the water comes in. Now we are stuck. The shower engine is a replacement 9 months ago.
