Toilet Bowl Keeps Filling After Flush

Hi
I have no DIY or plumbing experience.
Our toilet has developed a trickle after flushing.
I've searched the internet and youtube for an answer but can't find anything that looks like the toilet cistern we have.
I've tried to adjust the white arm thing (technical name!) for the height of the water (I think) and it still does the same.
Ay ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

Check the inlet valve (where the water comes in) when you have flushed the toilet and it has filled up does water continue to drip out of the tube? The washer in the inlet valve may have worn and could be letting water into the cistern even when the cistern has filled up and in turn is overflowing through the siphon into the pan.
You could try unscrewing the nut on the right of the inlet valve and check the washer, this can be replaced if you can find a compatible washer or change the whole inlet valve which entails detaching it from the cistern on the underside. Turn the water off to the cistern before you remove anything. I found some items that may help for the washer
