Waste Pipes in Bathroom Discharging onto Garage Roof

Hello,
We’re first time buyers and have just had the survey results back from a property we’ve put an offer in on.
The results highlighted that the waste pipes in the upstairs bathroom discharge directly onto the garage roof rather than being connected appropriately to the drain.
The house is connected to the sewers.
We want to understand how big a job this is to repair so we can decide whether to renegotiate with the vendors/ask them to repair it before proceeding/ take it on the chin.
Any advice any one has would be greatly appreciated!
