Removal of Basin and Pedestal - Barratt Home Bathroom

I have a pedestal style sink in my ensuite and would like to remove the pedestal so I can access the pipework behind.

I assume the pedestal is secured to the floor (from what I can see) but I am struggling to identify how (screw? bolt?) and therefore which tool to use to loosen them.

I have attached a couple of pictures but not sure if they are of much use.

I also notice that the basin appears to be secured to the wall directly and not hanging off of any brackets so presumeably the pedestal is taking a lot of the weight of the basin so if I remove the pedestal, then the basin will have to come down too (see 3rd picture)?

The home was developed by Barratt in 2013 if that information is also of any use.

Thanks in advance
Sam

Hi sam2411,
Loose the two nuts shown in your first pic a couple of turns should do, prop up the front of the basin to give clearance to remove the pedestal. The pedestal may be stuck to the floor and/or to the basin with silicone mastic - cut through this with a sharp knife.
