Removal of tap bonnet Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi, I want to change cartridge in my bathroom tap, but I cannot remove the bonnet, I’ve tried with a strap wrench, to no avail, has anyone got any other ideas, thanks

Hi carlbhoy,
The bonnet is usually either screwed on or is a force fit, try using some penetrating oil around the base and if they are vertical, down the tap spindle..
