Replacing a mains water shower unit

by frank.jory@gmail.com » Sat Nov 05, 2022 11:19 am

I am replacing an old shower unit.

My problem is the new mixer control unit has the (on/of) control on the left hand side, and the temp contol on the right hand side.

My current controller has temp control on left hand side and (on/of) control on right hand size.

This has me confused.

Any advice please

Hi frank.jory,
Have a look at the instructions for the new unit, it should show hot supply on the left and cold on the right.

Thank you for your response.

The red sticker is to the left and the blue sticker is to the right, which shows on/of to the left, and temp control to the right. this is the complete opposite to my current bar mixer.
Although the red and blue stickers are the same side for the old mixer and the new mixer.
So I am still confused.
Do I therefore just go ahead and replace with the new shower??

Hi frank.jory,
Provided its hot on the left, cold on the right you'll be fine.
