Kitchen sink waste pipe leaking - advice please on how to change it (new to DIY)

by Horizonm » Thu Mar 30, 2023 12:17 pm

Hello, I am new to plumbing DIY and looking for some advice for repairing my leaking kitchen sink waste pipes please.

The connection bit (marked in red) underneath the sink is leaking, but after a quick search on the internet I wonder if there should also be a trap installed too? But which type of traps should I go for and is it possible to install this myself?

My main purpose is to repair the leakage first if possible. Many thanks for any advice in advance!

Hi horizonm,
Suggest you buy an 1 1/2” adjustable P trap, remove the fittings and bend in your red circle and fit the trap.
There should be a trap for the other sink but perhaps it’s the other side of the wall.
Regards S
