“Very concealed” toilet cistern problem

Hi

We have concealed cistern. V concealed, so no access panel. (Fitter said “they never fail” when installing 20 years ago) I need to access as we have a problem with pneumatic push button. (Only central button works, and then makes a dull thud while flushing)

I know I’ll have to wreck it a bit to get access. Difficult to lift sink out, as retaining nut in addition to turning off isolators and loosening tap connections and waste etc. Will probable cut melamine board to create an access panel.

I’ve provided pictures of set up and behind recess. Hoses from push button to cistern look ok. Do you think likely to be bellows or something inside cistern?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Craigslist,
The most likely problem will be the push button, try replacing this first.

Thanks. Push button is fine. (Resistance when holes covered etc) Have bought new flush unit and about to fit that.
