New upstairs toilet

Hi,

I currently have a downstairs bathroom where all drainage and downpipe etc run along the back of the house.

I want to install a toilet and sink in the front bedroom upstairs. My concern is not really knowing what to do with drainage.

Do I run a macerator where it can pump the waste up into the loft and across to the rear of the property?

Or do I run the wastepipe out the side of the house and along the wall to the rear (which obviously won't look to tidy).

Also, my rear stack is an old cast iron one, so will I have to replace the whole stack in order to tap into it for the new toilet?

You advice is much appreciated.

:)

I did cover this on another post on the plumbing broads last week

But basically you can put a new soil stack at the front of the house; this would be the best thing to do.

Or

Put in a macerators and get a “time saverâ€
