Installing Air Admittance Valve

I am going to extend my kitchen but the toilet stack pipe will have to be moved. I've been told that I could fit an AAV into the roof space of the new extension. My problem being that my toilet cistern is a copy of a Victorian High Level with internal overflow and the AAV will be above the Pan but not the cistern. Is this OK to proceed.

Many thanks to anyone who may be able to assist

hi

i am a bit confused as to where the aav will be fitted as you say it will be going in the roof space but it will be below the high level cistern.

i am not 100 percent sure about where the water regulations state where the aav should be placed but logic would tell me as long as it is above the outlet of the toilet it should be ok.

hope this helps

Thanks Paul,
The aav will be below the cistern and above the toilet outlet. The extension will be a single storey.

I have enquired with bulding inspecter and he has agreed that I can put a aav valve in as long as it is above toilet pan outlet.
