INSTALLING A SOCKET.......

HI ALL, NEED TO INSTALL A SOCKET IN THE LOFT, IS THIS A JOB THAT ANY ELECTRICIAN WOULD TAKE UP (SMALL JOB) IF SO WHATS THE GOING RATE?, OR COULD THIS BE A JOB I MYSELF COULD UNDERTAKE, CHEERS...[/b]

Yes any electrician it is not Part P but you may be safer to use an electrician who is a member of one of the organizations. As to DIY there is not normally a supply in the loft except for lights so you would need some skill only you know what you can do. Also speed is important as from the 1st July prices are likely to rise due to new regulations. See 17th Edition in projects.
