Outside light not working

I have an outside toilet light being fed from the same circuit as the larder light in kitchen. the larder light works but the toilet doesnt. theres power at the toilet switch (supply to switch not light) and light but it doesnt work. any suggestions appreciated. thanx :?

Hi presume you have tested with 'neon test driver?' if so it may be a bit misleading but if thats all you have then try checking for light on both sides of switch, then at wc light, only one side of fitting should show live.
If both terms light neon with bulb in place then missing Neutral, prob. linked in connector in swith box in wc, if neon lights on conn. block then loose Neutral connection at larder light,
hope I understand layout correctly, if not as described, please give more detail of wiring & will try again,

hi there ,
not up to scratch on wiring , all i know is both the lights are connected with the same wire , to operate the lights i just simply plug in , sorry about sounding so thick :?
better explination hope

Thanx sparx.....the out light is seperate from larder light but in the same fuse on CU.
it isnt supplied from larder light. it has own supply from same fuse.
test lamp on live / earth = lights
lamp on live/neutral = no light.
volt stick shows 230 at lamp holder... still no light (lamps fine)

Hi I think we have 2 threads on same subject but anyway you have lost Neutral either at cons. unit or if looped at sw. then there.

thanx sparx for your reply. it was a loose connection @ cu just wiggled it about , tightenened it up & all ok now. thanx again .
