Hi,
i have a heater which is over a door and has 2 motors which are LEMAC 5451-116
the current pulled from each is only 0.6amp ( this info i got from the company )
and its conected to a 20amp mcb 3 phase
the fan runs ok but when you turn the heat on so it blows out warm air the mcb trips within 10 mins

does anybody know why, i was told it may be the thermostat but would that not just turn the fan off and not trip the mcb

any help would be great thanks

Many fan heaters have elements stretched across porcelain supports and it is easy for a knock to result in these coils of heating wires to short out and increase the power used.
Just clipping on the clip on ammeter will soon tell one if this is the case.
