I have changed a 2 gang double dimmer switch, on wiring it up the upstairs lights buzz. They have 5 12v 20watt G4 capsule bulbs. What have I done wrong? thanks for any help if someone could

Is the dimmer switch and transformer/inverter matched? Some need leading and some need lagging chopping of wave form. According to make and some can't be dimmed. i.e. You have to get matched pair. Sometime people are lucky but I have removed all my dimmer switches so I can use discharge lighting.
