Replacing a PIR lamp - connectors don't match

Hi,
I'm replacing a failed PIR lamp. This has an internal switch to switch the lam on continuously. When I removed the old lamp fitting I found it had four wires, E, N, L and a red sleeved yellow cable. The new fitting only has three cable sockeds (conventionally marked) E, N and L. How do I, or should I connect these?

Thanks for your help,

Peter

Hi Peter
It sems like your old set up used an overide switch to put the light on manually, which would be the sleeved yellow 'switch line' & the red was the permanent live, if so then put the yellow into a small connector in fitting term. box (if room) or if you can disconnect it at the overide switch,

Hi Sparx

Thanks for your prompt response - that makes sense I'll give that a go.

Kind regards,

Peter
