Hi, don't know why original ballast died, but is replacement correct rating for your 6Foot high frequency fitting or standard 5Foot type?
regards Sparx.

Hi its a 6 Foot high frequency fitting 2 x 70watt tubes, one on each side of the fitting,
the ballast put in was a

HF-Performer II TLD 2x70watt Philips Ballast

is there anything in the fitting that would cause the ballast to blow
thanks
