Can anyone help me???
I put up a new ceiling light in the lounge, keeping very close to the original holes but I appear to have done something wrong!
I only have lights in half the house and all the trips are on.
What else can I check? Is this going to cost me?????!
:?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

sounds as if you've put the outgoing feed that go to the next llight on the run in the wrong place.

I'm afraid I'm no good with anything vaguely technical (obviously!) Does this mean the light itself is just hooked up wrong? I haven't changed anything else, just that light.

Thanks

Hi Hannah,
how many wires are there? should be in most cases 3 reds/browns looped together not connected to the fitting itself (L in, L out to next light, L to switch)
also 2 Neutrals (Black or blue) connected to fitting N. (N in, N to next fitting),
Finally 1 odd wire from switch which is to L of fitting (should be red or brown , but may be black/blue if bad leckie fitted it cos it should have been taped/sleeved to show sw. live)
If still unsure there is a project with drawings on forum,
regards SPARX
