wiring in singles

I am currently doing my apprentship and having real trouble with my wiring. All my work is on site and every circuit is wiried in singles. does anyone have any tips on how to remeber wiring or know any books as all i can find is how to wire in twin and earth and domestic wiring.

Try the level 2 books 2330, If I remember right they have some single confirguration but not a massive amount. But if it's worth 20 pound for just that info, I don't know. Might be worth googling "single cable wiring"
Remember that the neutral in lighting circuits go to the luminaire/light fitting not the switch, they are the switch wires (line conductor colours brown).
Sockets just same as T&E.
