I had a dual switch downstairs in the lounge, one switch controlled the lounge lights, the other controlled the landing light. The landing upstairs also has its own light switch which can be turned on or off.
I have fitted a 2 gang 250w dimmer switch with one dimmer controlling the lounge lights and the other the landing light. Having wired the unit I find that the lounge dimmer works perfectly but the landing light, containing a 60w bulb, flickers and gives out a greatly reduced light. I don't really want the dimmer on the landing light but I can't find a unit with a single dimmer and switch. Any advice would be very helpful.

check for loose connections, try swapping over the connection of lounge and landing in switch in case it's faulty.

KB Thanks for the tips. Found out that one of the units in the dimmer was faulty. Exchanged the unit - rewired it and now it works perfectly.
