Hi, Very quick question hopefully will return a quick answer...

Would it be possible to wire the electrics from a fish tank setup (Light, filter and heater) to something like a light switch so that i can hide the wires/plugs etc??

Speaky69.
So you intend to wire up a switch that will operate the electrics to a fish tank, bury the cables in the wall as you would normally with electrical power circuits such as lights and sockets.

That is do-able. Make sure you read the manufactures instruction for the equipment your using and it is fused a protected as recommended.
Be aware of permitted zones and mechanical protection if an RCD is not being used

depends on the rating of the stuff your supplying. A fused connection unit (with RCD if the circuit doesn't already have one) might be a better way to go
