Bathroom electrics

Can i fit a fused spur ( not wsitched ) 1.2m above my sink to supply my extractor fan

If you are a quailified registered electrician or have notifed your local building controls of the work you intend to carry out you can, providing it complies with regulation related to bathrooms in BS7671:2008, that means it is outside the zones that this accessory is not permitted to be installed.

There is only a shower cubicle in the room now , the spur will be 1.4 Mts above the sink and form what i can see about the new regs thats out of zone 2

your extractor fan will also need to comply to regulations, remember it is notifiable work, if you are not employing part p registered installer.
