DIY Doctor UK DIY Forums

In view of the new regs I understand that most DIY electrical work has to be passed by a qualified electrician . I am moving to an old bungalow which requires a rewire and I have the knowledge to do this but have been told that it is extremely difficult to get an electrician to inspect it and issue a cert. I do understand the reluctance to sign off work that he cannot always see but I wish to comply with regs and would leave the supply of & connection to a new cons unit to him anyway and would leave flooring up for the inspection. How do I get round this ? ?
