Hi,

I Am changing light swithches in my hallway and the switch has a porch light, i have changed over the switch but the lights are always on, i cannot understand why? can anybody help!!! It looks like there are 3 live wires and 1 negative is this right.

is it a single sw or 1/2 of a double?
colour/numbers don't add up
how connected now?
how many wires at light fitting, 1 cable or 2, what colours? how connected
Give us a clue !
