ive knocked through into the house next door but have ended up with two meters and two bills! there are 100amp supplies into both houses as they used to have night storage heaters. these have now been taken out so theres plenty of spare capacity on the systems. what i want to do is connect the two supplies together and do away with one of the meters. is it just a case of running a suitably sized cable between the underside of one consumer unit to the underside of the other one?

Hi, in principle yes, in practice not quite so easy since your Part-p registered leckie will be left with a set of live 'Tails' from redundant meter untill you can persuade your energy supplied to disconnect it from cut-out and remove meter.
Best to get one supply meter removed by Whoever 'owns' it first, will leave one house dead but will be easier to link together with 'sub main' from other board.
All this work is subject to reporting to LABC and will require test certs. to comply with regs.
