I replaced my electric oven and ever since, when I turn the new oven on the boiler will trip. I cannot see how I have gone wrong? All I have done is wire the cooker into the existing point that the old one was wired into.

Is this a simple/common fix? Or do I need an electrician to sort this out?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

obviously assuming u have made the connections ok , then u could have a fault on your cooker circuit.
Best to get in an electrician with the appopiate test gear to
check thing over 4 u .

I'm guessing that the cooker and boiler are NOT on the same circuit.

This should be checked out by a competant leccy as the boiler should not trip when the cooker is turned on.
