Hi folks,
I am trying to change (what I believed to be) a 1 way 1 gang light switch for new after decorating a bedroom. I've done this before in other houses, which has usually been straightforward by copying the previous wiring. However, in this instance things are a bit different. As I don't understand the setup, and have no other electrical experience, I was hoping one of you good people might be able to advise me.

I've taken some photos to show the current setup:

And this is the light switch I bought, which I'm presuming is wrong as it only has 2 points of entry for the wires:

Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

You need a 2 way, 1gang switch, then put red from 3 core to com, red from 2 core & yellow in either of the other ones, & black & blue in the other. Go to projects, theres something in there might help you

FEARN ISOLATE POWER ! TURN OFF MAIN SWITCH.
copy existing positions of two way switch , on your image.
TRIM COPPER cores so NO EXPOSED terminations.
Tag up black , yellow and blue cores to identify them as live conductors.
Most important , chack integrity of earthing conductors ( green and yellow sleeved copper cores ) and reafirm sound connection in to back box of switch.
