hi,
i was round my mates house yesterday and he was fitting in his new kitchen units. the unit's shells are standard white chipboard and he was inserting an electric cooker into one of the single units with a gas inset hob above. this did not seem correct as when the cooker becomes very hot, surely this will start to burn the inside of the 500mm unit? do you have units designed for this installation that have heat prtection?
please advise on how is the correct way for this kind of installation..

many thanks

Hi if proper built-in type oven then very well insulated double case won't get too warm, as long as air circ possible at rear of unit
