Hi All,

I am soon moving into a medium sized 1950's, 3 bed, ex-council house. It has old, surface mounted electrics with conduit and surface boxes all over the place.

I want to get rid of this as soon as pos but was wondering what the likely cost of chasing out and re-wiring would be?

Only looking to see if anyone can chuck a an average cost at me until I can get in to start to get some real details?

Thanks,
Matt

Depends where you live but could cost anyting between £1500-3000.
I would ring around and get some quotes, have them visit your property not a quote over the phone.

Click on the Find a tradesman section of the DIY Doctor website for free quotes from fully vetted and insured tradespeople.

I'd have said more to the tune of 3 - 5 grand myself.
