price for installation certificate test

Hi all, is anyone able to give me an indication as to the cost for an electrical installation certificate , for a three bed house ?

It is like asking the length of piece of string. However any PIR will likely take at least 1/2 a day and so any price too low would make one consider the electrician is not doing a proper job.

If you need a PIR to hire the property or sell the property likely you will not care too much how good the job is. But if buying then you would be very concerned so you have to consider the quality of service as well as price.

Access can be a problem and the same property empty will likely get a different quote to full of furniture and with items plugged in all around the house.

Areas will also have different charges but I would think around 1/2 to 1 day to do it A1 and not skimp.

Maybe one of the others will stick their neck out and give a figure? Some firms do work out average time and give fixed fee. But you need to trust the guy which is more to the point.

Presume you mean a Periodic Inspection REPORT.
An Installation Certificate can only be issued at time of the work being done.
Assuming a report is what you mean
we charge a flat fee of
£40 plus £22 per circuit,
so an 8 way board would cost £216
and a 4 way would be £128,
plus VAT.
