Lath & Plaster walls

Would you bother installing flush sockets in Lath & Plaster partitioned walls ;or can I only use surface mounted sockets with truncking.

Hi, personaly I would rip off the lath and plaster( makes hell of a mess) and run wires and put the back box in and insulate it and plaster board it and skim it (plaster) or at the very least flush sockets ets not surface mount , my personal preference

I have by putting in bits of wood with no more nails or similar first. The screwing in normal metal back box. The plaster board boxes don't work too well.
