Faulty Shower

Power is there but no water, read somewhere most likely solenoid or pressure build up in showerhead, checked showerhead so most likely internal problem
This is the shower I have.
Google "showerdoc.co.uk/shower-spares/gainsborough/energy-1000x.html"
Question: Is it just a case of purchasing a shower then connecting up to old shower connections or do I have to buy a specific model, i.e. another gainsborough shower. On their site it has a link to replace an old model
Google "gainsboroughshowers.co.uk/Customer-Services/Replace-an-old-model/#q4005"
Not sure I want the shower they suggest wanted a more modern one.
Thanks for any advice
