hi just changed my ceiling light for another light the new light has a 2 pin connecter block but i have aabout 5 wires coming from ceiling aint got a clue where they go 2 red 1 black 1 black with red sleeve guessing this is live

the black with red sleeving is likely to be live, because it is labelled up as so, it is most likely the switched live. i'd suggest a local electrician if you are unsure with the number of with the number of cables.
