Hey,
I just noticed today that the trip went for my oil heating and the watchman and controller (Sunvic Select 207) are totally blank.
Does anyone know why it would happen and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks very much

JOHN
IF U HAVE POWER ON BUT NOT ON YOUR OIL SYSTEM THEN
IF THE OIL SYSTEM IS POWERED BY A SPUR FUSED UNIT, CHECK THE FUSE. IF THAT IS OKAY, AND POWER IS GOING TO THE SYSTEM YOU HAVE A FAULT ON THE OIL HEATING SYSTEM AND NEED TO CONTACT
YOUR INSTALLER FOR IT .

I would like to take out a 7kw shower and replace with a 9.5 kw shower. the cable looks like 6mm, although the installation is 10 years old+. the shower is approx 10m away from the fuse board - could I run this with a 40 amp mcb - ? ( currently 30amp) - also there is no rcd in place - is this ok - would appreciate some opinions - many thanks

GLAD U GOT BOILER LOOKED AT .
REGARDING YOUR SHOWER U WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
DO THE WORK AS IT IS NOTIFIABLE. BUT LOOKING AT WHAT IS TO BE
DONE ? I WOULD ADVISE A 10 MM2 TWIN AND EARTH CABLE BACK TO THE MAINS BOARD WITH A MEANS OF ISOLATION LOCAL TO THE SHOWER POSITION ( IDEALLY NICE CRABTREE 50 AMP RATED ROUND PULLCORD SWITCH ), FED FROM AS SAY AT THE MAINS BOARD A 40 AMP
MCB. SUPPLEMENTRY BONDING REQUIRED IN 4MM2 EARTH BETWEEN
CURRENT USING EQUIPMENT IN BATHROOM ( BETWEEN PULLCORD OF LIGHT SWITCH AND SHOWER ). YOU WILL NEED SUPPLEMENTRY
PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK BY FITTING AN RCD AT THE MAINS BOARD. ( DO NOT KNOW YOUR BOARD BUT A R.C.B.O IS AN OPTION )
YOUR SPARKEY SHOULD COVER WHAT I HAVE SAID FOR YOUR INFO AND
ANYTHING ELSE HE RECOMMENDS AS HE IS CERTIFYING AND TESTING THE JOB.
