Hard wiring rangemaster classic 90

When connecting a dual fuel Rangemaster can the cable be hard wired directly into the consumer control unit.?

You should always have a form of local isolation in the way of a switched fused spur or even a simple wall socket with a plug if its a boiler & an appropriate sized switch & fuse if its a cooker.

The appliance should be on it's own circuit, but a direct conection between the applainace and the CU, must not be made. As you will need a cooker control unit to give you an easy means of isolation, this should be installed within 2 metres of the appliance, ideally in a visable location like above the worktop.
If the circuit is a new circuit, it is very likely a RCD/RCBO will also need to be installed (if your CU is not already fitted with this) as additional protection, this will by deemed notifiable work to building controls.

I have looked up the Rangemaster 90 and some of the ratings are a surprise. The hob is rated higher then whole cooker but 10.9 kw is 47A and with the induction model that drops to 9.7 kw so I have a feeling some one has got their figures mixed up!
3 x 2.3kW, + 2 x11.4kW = 9.7kW I know my maths is bad but not that bad!
Anyway I would get the real spec out and work out what it really needs.
Clearly the manufacturer can't be trusted and common sense needs to prevail.
