How do I disconnect / remove a burglar alarm

by ruud1boy » Sat May 14, 2011 6:11 am

Hi people,

We have a Gardtec 300 alarm system that's never worked properly and we didn't use even was it was vaguely working.

How do I go about disconnecting & removing this? I don't want to start taking it to bits only for the siren to start sounding and me be unable to shut it down again 'cos the box is in bits.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Any good alarm will be designed so near impossible to remove without something sounding. There may be engineers codes but no one in their right mind is going to post them.

So it's a case of starting at bell box. There will be a tamper switch and it will sound but once the battery is disconnected and bell disconnected the only thing left is the beaping from main unit.

That will also need the battery removing and supply removing.
