I have removed a light fitting and wish to fill and paper over. What do I do with the old wires that ran into the light to make them safe?

U NEED TO ASCERTAIN THAT THESE WIRES NEED TO BE ACCESSIBLE FOR MAINTAINANCE ECT, SO WOULD ADVISE U GET IN A
REGISTERED SPARK TO ADVISE , BEFORE COVERING THEM OVER.

Hi if in loft space then pull all wiring into loft & terminate in ceiling rose or Joint box, if down stairs, as connections should be available for inspection, officially you should do the same but with a 'trap' in floor above, regards SPARX
