Supplementary bonding in a bathroom

by Lawrence » Fri Jul 06, 2007 8:36 am

Hi

I am remodelling my bathroom and have noticed there is no supplementary bonding on the copper pipes to the towel rad or the H&C feeds.

I have moved the rad and extended pipe runs to the shwoer and basin using plastic Speedfit couplers and plastic pipes. Does this mean that the only bonding required is between the shaver socket and light?

thanks

The shaver socket will be a SELV unit and therefore there will no earth on the secondary side.

All other services seem to be in plastic therefore there seems no reason to bond
