Energy saving bulbs

by angela » Mon Jul 09, 2007 5:55 pm

Does anyone know if the heat output from a 15 watt energy saving bulb is less than a 75watt normal bulb---I want to put an 15 watt energy saving bulb into a light fitting recommending max 60 watts--will it melt the wiring?

Hi 15W is 15W so no more heat than 15W bulb plus a little bit for the inbuilt control unit, if it fits it fine, regards SPARX
