Illuminated bathroom mirror - electronic ballast

by haoconn » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:43 am

Hi,

Our illuminated bathroom mirror has stopped lighting. I checked all the connections and all OK but when I remove one of the wires from the Electronic Ballast and tested for a current - it comes on! I therefore assume the ballast device is faulty. Does anyone know where I can get a similar one - please see pic - or do I just spend £70 on a new mirror:(((( I have looked on the web with the model number and at Kengo's web pages without success.

Regards, Anthony

Most proper electrical whole sale outlets will stock them. But not the sheds like B&Q. The problem with these units is they are full of auto protection so if the tubes go faulty they auto close down. No real way to test other then replace BOTH tubes.
