Stuck Installing new Nest protect Wired Smoke Alarm - Help!

Hi everyone.
Sorry for a pretty dumb first post but I'm stumped.
I'm following the fairly simple instructions to wire up a new 'Nest Protect' smoke alarm at home. So far, so good. But I've removed the existing alarm to reveal the wiring:
Wire one has a neutral (blue) and a live (brown), but wire two has a dark brown, grey and a black wire and I haven't got a clue what these represent. It's totally thrown me!
So even though I'm following the guide (https://nest.com/uk/support/article/Dow ... er-s-Guide), I now feel like I can't continue until I know which wires should be where!! The instructions state:
Can anybody help? I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to learn as I go but being stuck already doesn't fill me with much confidence!!

Match the live conductors coming from
your ceiling to the live conductors in Nest’s
230V AC cable connector and put them into
a terminal block.
All the neutral conductors go into another
terminal block, and the earth conductors
into a third terminal block. There is no need
for the interconnect cable as all Nest Protect
are wirelessly interconnected. If there’s an
interconnect conductor, insulate it.
Can anybody help? I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to learn as I go but being stuck already doesn't fill me with much confidence!!
