Can you Wire a 3 Pin Plug to Electric Cooker Point?

Hi, I am having gas cooker fitted which has a three pin plug for the electric ignition. Question is could the plug be removed and the cable wired into the point which is for an electric cooker?
Nearest socket for plug is too far away, cable won't reach.

Likely no as if there was a fault the cable would burn before the 32A trip would operate. Often however there is a cooker connection unit which can be swapped for a fused connection unit or socket so you can still use a 3A fuse.

Simple way is put cooker cable into a 13A socket. I would look for MK as they have larger holes to take the thicker cable.
