Still having problems

I have a one gang two way switch at one end of the room controlling the main light only. At the over end of the room is a two gang switch controlling the main light and the side lights independently.
I have found that depending on which switch is used the main light comes on but then will not be controlled by the other switch, just stays on.
Current set up on two gang switch
Left switch (controlling main light) - Common : Red
L1 : Yellow (red band placed around)
L2 : Blue (red band placed around)
Right switch (controlling side lights) - Common : Red
L1 : Black (with red band around)
Current set up on one gang two way switch
Common : Red
L1 : yellow with red band around it
L2 : blue with red band around it
With the one gang two way switch, whatevere combination I use with moving the wires the setup still does not work. If one switch turns on the other then cannot control the main light.
Please help :D
