Hello Everyone,

I would appreciate your help:

I currently have a 10 point contactum consumer unit and it trips 2 or 3 times a week.

Would fitting 2 RCDs isolate what is causing it to trip or should I have to fit individual fuses that trip or do I need to get a new board?

RCD tripping is hard to quantify, I have seen houses with one RCD for all working A1 and also with problems and I have also found although RCD says 30 mA some are more prone to tripping than others.

Question one is will your board take a RCBO which is a RCD and MCB combined, and is it designed so you can split the board?

Early boards had one isolator which could be changed for an RCD.
Latter we got Isolator and one RCD and the RCD protected just some circuits.
Then we got the twin RCD board.
And there is also a board with twin RCD's and space for RCBO's

I do not do enough to know boards by name, I need description, With some boards you can't isolate to swap a RCD and it would be dangerous to change without pulling DNO fuse. Others you can. I don't know which is which without seeing the board with cover off which with some can also be dangerous.
