Converting a Single Light Switch to Two way Light Switch

Looking at the images One shows the one gang light switch single way to left six feet away from the bedroom (good planning by an electrician) feeding ‘live’ to centre piece light and fan that have their own independent cord switches as shown. Left light right fan.
Existing switch wire old colours RED AND BLACK.
‘Er in doors’ has a fixation of two way switch substituting the existing single switch for a two way switch.
Wiring the existing switch wire to the new two way switch along with the two way switch cable as follows Red and Brown to common, Black and Black to L2 Grey to L1.
3 core at bedroom wall end Brown to common Black to L2 and Grey to L1 to match the other switch terminals. Leaving the centre piece cord light switch ON should produce a two way system from the two new switches and of course providing the centre piece switch is left on. The fan will operate on it own cord switch when required in summer. Hopefully its not a ‘clear as mud’.
Many thanks.
