Trying to Install a Two Way Pull Switch Having Some Issues

Hi, I am trying to install a two way pull switch but things are not working out.
The terminals on the switch are not labelled apart from the earth but I assume them to be L1 and L2 at the top and Com at the side.
The wires are red (live), blue (neutral), green/yellow (earth) and yellow (?!?).
As the old switch did work I assume that the yellow is switch live.
However, when I connect Red to Com, yellow to L1, Blue to L2 the light does switch on / off via the wall switch until I pull the pull switch.
On the assumption that yellow is not switch live but red is I also tried yellow to Com, Red to L1 but get the same result.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

In the main the method used is L1 or L2 is lamp or supply does not really matter if swapped, and com is the important one and it only connects to the other switch.

So since normally wired like for like, work out com on new switch, look at other switch of pair and see what colour goes into com and use same colour with pull switch.

Or since only three wires trial and error, all wires to a two way switch are line so try easy wire in turn into com only three options, as said L1 and L2 can be swapped only com matters.

With non pull switch swapping L1 and L2 will make either the light come one when both switches are in same position or when in opposite position. With pull switch it does not matter.
