Please can you give me guidance on chasing electrical cables into solid walls.
Wall mounting a TV onto solid wall and chasing the cables into the wall.
What are the regulations or recommendations involved with the job?
Would it be consider safe to directly plaster the cables into the wall without using a conduit to protect the cables?
Would all purposes powder filler be the correct choice to fill in the chased wall area?
Thank you.
Any info on this subject would be very useful.

If you put the cables in trunking or conduit, then at a later date you can easily change / upgrade the cable without any damage.
It's your choice what you use to make good.

Thank you. An electrician did not chase the cables into the wall and the job looked a mess - I had to get the complete job redone. He presented himself as having experience in wall mounting TV and charged me accordingly - £400 . It has been a nightmare.

Just be careful where the existing cables are in the wall, cables run vertically from sockets.
They also run horizontally sometimes
